Newly constructed and finished in 2024, this home offers all the amenities one could want for a luxurious relaxing vacation.
Monarch Cottage is a modern West Indies cottage with Fish Bay and the Caribbean as the front yard. Every room enjoys views of the Caribbean. A 7-minute drive to Cruz Bay and 30- minute ride to Coral Bay, Monarch offers a seaside experience for family and friends. Most days there are caressing breezes from the Caribbean. Large sliding patio doors open to an Epi deck and the lap pool/spa area. Each room offers AC, Wi-Fi, smart TV and sonos sound system.

St. John offers a wide range of restaurants and cuisine. From high end to the best burger, it is all available. Of course the shopping is a great way to spend a few hours!

Dave and Cheryl McDaniel became part time residents of the beautiful island of St John in 2010 when their villa, Butterfly Beach Villa, was completed. Yes, we are the neighbors beside Monarch Cottage.
Our first property was purchased in 2007. It took 2 ½ years to build Butterfly Beach Villa and since then our home is often filled with family and friends.
After hurricanes Irma and Maria, the small house that was on the Monarch property was completely destroyed. After a year, the owners offered the property to the McDaniel family and we thought it was a great opportunity for us to create another investment in St John.
Working with a young, local designer, Monarch Cottage was designed. The goal was to create a small, intimate villa that focused on the beautiful views of Fish Bay and the Caribbean Ocean.
